Our program for October is two talented college students from Julian, Colin and Daniel Kenner. They will play and sing a mix of classical and bluegrass music. We will be surprised as to how much in common these two styles have. Colin and Daniel have been performing together for over two years. They performed at Poway’s 4th of July celebration this year to great reviews, and at the Blue Grass festival in Ramona with well known blue grass artist Judy Taylor.

The San Vicente Valley Club will start the new season with this year’s President, Joan Renaud. This month’s general meeting and luncheon will be on Wednesday, September 26th at the San Vicente Resort, 24157 San Vicente Road. The luncheon is open to the public; guests are encouraged to make reservations at the front desk of the San Vicente Resort or with Russ Ann Zazas (760) 788-5571 by Friday, September 21st. Our speaker, O’Jay Vanegas is the Museum Educator at the Barona Cultural Center. His unique educational journey will inform us about our neighbor’s Native American history, the local Kumeyaay-Diegueño culture. O’Jay will also share many ancient artifacts, photos and slides for us to enjoy.
