GENERAL INFORMATION
The San Vicente Valley Club, organized for charitable and social purposes, encourages members to become acquainted with others in the community and form enduring friendships. The organization allows members to increase their knowledge of the principles and functioning of citizens in the local community. The Club undertakes and promotes charitable and humanitarian projects within Ramona.
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It is with great pleasure that I welcome the members of the San Vicente Valley Club. As an educator for many years, I was drawn to the Valley Club because of their dedication and hard work in fund raising money for scholarships for the youth of Ramona. I was impressed and continue to be impressed in the fact that the Valley Club has given over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships. Wow! Again this year we will be raising monies for scholarships and community funding.
We are planning to host one major fund raiser in the spring of 2017. This past year, we also had a smaller fund raiser (movie night) which was both profitable and fun. Our plan is to repeat this and add another fun evening for our members and guests. The involvement of all our members in one or all of these events will be fantastic.
The Valley Club meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month from September through May for lunch at the San Vicente Resort. Following the meeting and lunch, a guest speaker gives a presentation which has always been interesting and informative. This year is no exception with the variety of speakers, presenters, and performers.
For the social side of our club, we offer various interest groups for our enjoyment (movie group, scrabble, Bunco, lunch bunch, Bookmarks, theatre group). The camaraderie and friendship is wonderful and genuine.
We look forward to welcoming back our current members to adding new members. This social/philanthropic group is second to none. Welcome back San Vicente Valley Club! I so look forward to a fun, productive, wonderful, successful and exciting year!!
